#BringBackOurGirls! Spread the word!

May 01, 2014

Horrible things are happening in the world right now. Horrible things are happening to young girls right now. We ask ourselves, where is the justice in all of this? What have children done to deserve something bad to happen to them? Human trafficking is something that we know that is happening and we choose to turn our heads on the other side. Bad things are only happening to people somewhere out there where it does not hurt us, right? As long as it is somewhere out there, we don’t care. But that has to change! We need to know! We need to be informed! Horrible things are happening in the world right now!

#BringBackOurGirls is a hashtag that you may have seen on the social networks, but you were never too eager to know what it is about.

Well, I hope that you read this blog post, so you know what is happening.

The first time I read about this, it made me cry, it made me want to change the world or at least disappear from the place that holds the ground mean people are walking on, it made me hate this horrible, horrible world.

Less than a month ago approximately 250 girls in Nigeria were kidnapped. This happened in school, the place where children – teenagers are supposed to be safe. The girls were at ages between 16 and 18.

An unidentified mother cries out during a demonstration with others who have daughters among the kidnapped school girls of government secondary school Chibok, Tuesday April 29, 2014, in Abuja, Nigeria. Two weeks after Islamic extremists stormed a remote boarding school in northeast Nigeria, more than 200 girls and young women remain missing despite a ?hot pursuit? by security forces and desperate parents heading into a dangerous forest in search of their daughters. Some dozens have managed to escape their captors, jumping from the back of an open truck or escaping into the bush from a forest hideout, although the exact number of escapees is unclear. The terrorists that are against the western type of education are responsible of mass murderers all around Nigeria. In the past, they have killed more than 50 boys in all-boys school. This terrorists call themselves Boko Haram terrorists.

This time, they kidnapped more than 250 girls while they had their final exam. Because of the tragedies in the past, all of the schools in Nigeria were closed, they opened them for the exam only. The girls were supposed to be kept safe from one guard only! The terrorists killed the guard and kidnapped all of the girls. One life is lost and many more are ruined. 40 of them found a way to escape. Most of the girls are too traumatized to talk about what actually happened to them. The families of all of the girls are in deep pain. They are praying for the lives of their girls.

They are missing for more than two weeks now. It is believed that those girls are already sold into the sex-trade as human trafficking. Can you believe it? Innocent girls that haven’t really seen the world yet, haven’t felt the joys that life has to offer are forced to give sexual services to all kinds of man. These girls are sold for less than $12. Why? Because we live in a closed world with narrow minded people! We turn our heads on the other side when something we don’t like is promoted to us! The government in Nigeria is doing almost nothing to save these girls. Their parents tried to go after the terrorist, but they were outnumbered and the terrorists were armed with too many weapons. The parents could do nothing to save their little girls.

The word has to be spread all around the world! #BringBackOurGirls needs to become a worldwide issue. These girls cannot be forgotten! Please spread this hashtag on your social media network. Please spread this picture everywhere you can. Human trafficking has to be stopped. Lets start now!
